1       Public Forum

1.1    Blueskin Bay Telephone Directory - Alice Laws

 

Ms Laws addressed the meeting with regards to producing an updated version of the Blueskin Bay telephone directory and spoke to the funding application that the Board received.  In particular she commented on the Civil Defence section of the document and advised that the Board and Civil Defence would be provided with a draft copy to review.  Mandy Mayhem-Bullock agreed to approach Civil Defence for funding towards the Civil Defence section.

 

1.2    Truby King Recreation Reserve Committee - Alex McAlpine

 

The Chairperson of the Truby King Recreation Reserve Committee, Mr McAlpine,  provided an overview of the activities of the committee including fund raising, volunteer work and the reserve clean up.

 

1.3    Waitati Market Day Parking Issue -  Paul Clements

 

Mr Clements was unable to attend due to work commitments.  Mr Clements had provided a letter to the Board which was in the agenda.

6       Update from the Local Police

 

The local Police representatives scheduled to attend the meeting and provide an update on policing issues tendered their apologies as they were unable to attend.

 

7       Waikouaiti Coast Community Board Action List

 

A discussion took place on the Action List which included water tanks for Michies Crossing and Warrington and Coastal Erosion.

8       Library Activity Report

 

A report from the Library provided a summary of the activities of the Dunedin Public Libraries for the period 1 July 2017 to 31 January 2018, with a focus on the activities of the Waikouaiti and Blueskin Bay Libraries and Service Centre.

9       Funding Application

 

An application for funding was received from the Waitati School PTA, requesting $450.00 of funding towards a full page advertisement in the Blueskin Bay Community Directory.

1      Enterprise Dunedin have been invited by Community Board Chairs to attend the April round of Community Board meetings.

2      Staff will provide updates on Enterprise Dunedin activity including film, GigCity and Rural Broadband

DISCUSSION

3      The intention is to provide Community Boards with an update on Enterprise Dunedin activities and projects under the 2013-23 Economic Development Strategy as well discuss any ideas and feedback which board members may have.

4      The Economic Development Programme Manager will be in attendance along with Enterprise Dunedin coordinators:

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1      This report provides a copy of the funding application which has been received for the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board’s consideration.  As this is an administrative report only, the Summary of Considerations is not required.

2      Waikouaiti Bowling Club Inc has requested $1800.00 funding towards replacing the decayed timber framing and artificial grass lining in ditches around the perimeter of the bowling green.

3      $6,739.26 remains in the Project Fund of $10,000.00.

4      An email was circulated by the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board Chairperson – Alasdair Morrison to the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board Members, to provide feedback on the proposed naming of a Private Way – Errols Court in Warrington.  A report on the proposed naming of a Private Way – Errols Court is being considered at an Infrastructure Services and Network Committee meeting on Monday 16 April.  An update of the decision will be provided at Wednesday’s meeting.
