10     Ara Toi Otepoti and City of Literature
Key Activities and Achievements

 

A report from Ara Toi provided an update on Ara Toi Ōtepoti and City of Literature work in 2018.

The Group Manager Ara Toi (Nick Dixon) spoke to the report and responded to questions.

11     Community and Culture Non-Financial Activity Report for the Quarter Ended 31 December 2018

 

A report from Community and Planning and Ara Toi provided an update on key city, community, arts and culture outcomes for the quarter ended 31 December 2018.

The report noted some highlights for the quarter which included increased community satisfaction with city festivals and events and Dunedin being named the ‘Most Beautiful City’ in the Keep New Zealand Beautiful Awards.

The Group Manager Ara Toi (Nick Dixon),  Manager Community Development and Events (Joy Gunn, and Dunedin Youth Council representative (Ben Hawke) spoke to the report and responded to questions.

Cr Hawkins thanked the Community Development and Events Team for their hard work after the extraordinary week of events which included Chinese New Year, Waitangi Day and Thieves Alley.
