Members were reminded of the need to stand aside from decision-making when a conflict arose between their role as an elected representative and any private or other external interest they might have.
Hannah Molloy advised no further interest in the Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust.
Lois Scott declared an interest in the South Dunedin Community Network.

The report provided a summary of grants allocated in the 2018-19 year to seven Place-Based Community Groups (PBCGs). The Grants Subcommittee considered the information provided with regards to one group who had not yet utilised allocated funding and if it could be retained for community activity in the 2019-20 year. The Manager Community Development and Events (Joy Gunn) spoke to the report and responded to members questions. |

a) Agrees the portion of the 2018 grant not yet utilised by the Caversham Valley group can be retained by them for place based community activity in the 2019-20 year following provision of a plan agreed by staff. Motion carried (GS/2019/039) |

In a report the multi-year funded community groups provided a report back on what they had achieved with the 2018-19 multi-year funding received. The Manager Community Development and Events (Joy Gunn) spoke to the report and responded to members questions. Lois Scott declared an interest in the North East Valley Community Network and left the room at 9.20am while this item was discussed.

Moved (Cr Aaron Hawkins/Hannah Molloy): That the Subcommittee: a) Approves the funding as follows for the Place-Based Community Groups in the 2019-2020 year and any criteria to be met. b) Recommends that recipients who have requested multi-year funding not be required to resubmit their application for the 2020-21 year, unless they choose to do so, noting that; c) All applicants are required to provide a report on their annual activities and expenditure prior to the close of the next Place Based Community Grants round.
