The meeting opened with a Karakia Timatanga from the Chair.

Marty Roberts, Chair of WOW Productions; Peter Hayden, Professional Actor and Karen Elliott, Trustee of Stage South Board spoke on behalf of the Dunedin professional theatre community to highlight their desire for a performing arts centre and responded to questions. Images of the Kāpti Performing Arts Centre/Te Raukura ki Kāpti were provided to the meeting as an example of a professional performing arts centre for Council to consider. |

Confirms the agenda without addition or alteration.
Motion carried |
Members were reminded of the need to stand aside from decision-making when a conflict arose between their role as an elected representative and any private or other external interest they might have.
Cr Christine Garey declared an interest as Chair of Study Dunedin.

A report from Civic provided an update of the Community Services Committee forward work programme as at May 2023. Chief Executive (Sandy Graham) and General Manager Māori, Partnerships and Policy (Jeanette Wikaira) responded to questions.

A report from Parks and Recreation provided a summary of the 2022-2023 freedom camping season statistics.
Group Manager Parks and Recreation (Scott MacLean)and Parks Policy Analyst (Stephen Hogg) spoke to the report and responded to questions.
