11        Upcoming items for Te Pae Māori review include:

a)         New policies

b)        Policy Reviews

Annual Plan

12        The proposed Annual Plan includes a total rate increase of 10.5%, comprising:

a)         6.9% non-water rate increase

b)        16.7% Three waters rate increase.

13        The Treaty partnership budget for 2026/2027 FY is proposed at $926,000, This includes a 0.5% increase from the previous year. The proposed budget covers operational costs for Mana Ruruku (including staffing) and reserved funding of $250,000 if required, for Aukaha to deliver services across Council.

14        The annual plan consultation focusses on changes to the Three Water rating method.

15        Public submissions on the Annual Plan are open until 29 April 2026. Feedback can be provided online or through written submissions, and may address any aspect of the Annual Plan, including matters that inform the Long-Term Plan. 18        This engagement supports the role of Te Pae Māori in identifying emerging issues and contributing to forward planning discussions.
